Backtrack c81/4/2024 ![]() I'm gonna look into the AWUS036NH now though.īSS c8:3a:35:53:7b:28 (on wlan1) - associatedĬapability: ESS Privacy ShortSlotTime (0x0411) Give me a tough time when I try to switch between Kali and Windows (virtual) and with occasionally break resulting in an unplug and plug and a disconnect/connect back to the guest.Īlso, I now have problems with my TP-Link WN722N card (maybe there are compatibility issues now?) Fix for me is to have it unplugged though when i boot up my physical machine and and my virtual windows 7. I also got a TP-Link with an atheros chipset, which worked seamlessly, so I figured I'll switch to an 'upgraded' alfa card, the 36NHA as it had the same chipset.oh man, started having the same problems as I did with the 36NHR. But the range can be fied with a new antenna on ones with less of a range. Right meow I have the 36H as being the most reliable and like you said, best range. Haven't tried it with 8 yet because I got a different card all together. Then once I finally got it working, Windows 7 crashed. I have to install, uninstall, check off the windows auto update function so I can manually install the driver from the CD. I have an ALFA 36NHR and it crashed by computer while being a pain to get the right drivers. Please don't bother mentioning the older 'H' ('g' mode only) and 'NHR' (total headache for Kali/Backtrack) as the former will barely appeal to anyone and no one in the right mind would purchase the latter. I tried really hard to accurately and helpfully label the devices to avoid confusion because there is really a lot of them. Whilst it seems to work, and there is even that linked tutorial on how it works, and the writer swears by it. But it's quite a shot in the dark at this point. Which is why the latter '51NH' doesn't seem like it would be a bad choice. As I want of course the best all-rounder, and I wish there was something that had awesome range, fast deauth and handshake and also of course was dual-band. The '51NH' is dual-band and supports 5Ghz wireless and 300Mpbs but little to nothing is known about it at all. (Some people have reported the range as being terrible) The 'NHA' is better for cracking and such, but lacks the range. I mean at this point it seems obvious that the 'NH' is best for range, whilst still being able to use the 'n' wireless standard. ![]() So my question guys obviously is, which of these is the best? Also an overwhelming amount of people returned them for just the NH. AWUS036NH R - This thing apparently has massive driver issues, and is 100x more trouble than it's worth. Apparently it has the best range of any of the cards. AWUS036H - (the non-n) variant, older adapter. Though there is no proven or even really any written info that it works with Kali out of the box, or what it's strengths and weaknesses are.Ĭards that I have not, and will not mention:ġ. Plus that the new V2 model has a different driver. Except that apparently the older model was terrible for packet injection and etc. Though, however I cannot find ANYWHERE any sort of decent description as to what the difference is between the newer and older models. In addition to this there's also this newer: AWUS036NH R V2 But I can still find it around on some sites. In addition apparently this model is discontinued? (See 'Step 2'). Though depending on the location I am pretty sure there's a bit of legal-issues involved there anyway. I have found a post that it's plug and play and works fine, but that there are issues getting all the bands. Though, however there is almost no information that I can find on how well it works with Kali. The: AWUS0 51NH is a Dual-band card that operates at a/b/g/n and at 150Mbps and 300Mbps. That means they only support up to 150Mbps. Now, neither of these cards are Dual-band cards. Though, however the 'AWUS036NH A' was far better at deauth and grabbing handshakes more reliably in low db (decibel) situations (even as low as 10db). The 'AWUS036 NH' was unbeatable in terms of range. Hey guys back again with the SAME question.

Words of wonder 681/3/2024 ![]() The markets were overstocked with them, so that Josephus says, in another place, they were sold with their wives and children at the lowest price, there being many to be sold, but few purchasers.” And we learn from St. And when Jerusalem was taken by Titus, of the captives who, as we have observed on Deuteronomy 28:62, were sent into Egypt, those under seventeen were sold: but so little care was taken of these captives, that eleven thousand of them perished for want. It appears from Josephus, that in the reigns of the first two Ptolemies many of the Jews were slaves in Egypt. They might be carried thither in the ships of the Tyrian or Sidonian merchants, or by the Romans, who had a fleet in the Mediterranean, and this was a much safer way of conveying so many prisoners than sending them by land. ![]() They had walked through the sea as dry land at their coming out, but now they should be carried thither in ships. “They had come out of Egypt triumphant, but now they should return thither as slaves. This is also well illustrated by the bishop. By the way whereof - That is, to which place or part of the world, namely Egypt I spake unto thee, thou shalt see it no more again - Referring to what he had said, Deuteronomy 17:16. ![]() With ships - This expression seems to be intended to remind them of that time when they went over the sea without ships, God miraculously drying up the sea before them, a time which now they would have occasion sadly to remember. The Lord shall bring thee into Egypt - Which was literally fulfilled under Titus, when multitudes of them were carried thither and sold for slaves.

Zello download1/3/2024 ![]() You know, Bill Moore will tell you that his main priority right now is just to make sure that everyone who wants to use its app can continue to do so in a free and open way. And that decision-making changes a lot depending on what's going on on the ground. Then stuff like this happens and they have a decision to make: Are you going to throw in, with your users - the people that have downloaded your app, who are essentially customers even if they're not paying, even if they're using a free version - or do you turn around and say no, this is not something we're very interested in getting involved in. They want to sell this stuff to businesses. TUCKER: The company heads that I've spoken to about this have said that what they really want to do is create a service that's useful to people - and useful enough that at some point folks decide to pay them for it. WERTHEIMER: Are these companies actually trying to attract protesters? And next thing you know, you had other services - other software developers chime in and say: Well, we've created this solution that helps people that want to download this app, get around the government blockade. And that's what really began to inflame the international software community, sort of the international hacker community. And much of the attention has centered around the fact that there was an active government attempt to censor the app. TUCKER: So one key difference is that, in Ukraine, there was no attempt to block the use of the Zello app. WERTHEIMER: Is it all different, Venezuela from Ukraine? It's also used by smaller groups to organize very specific either evasive maneuvers or setting up barricades to do sort of thwart the national guard. So it's being used in Venezuela right now to organize lots of people coming out into the streets for these protests. It basically functions, in many ways, like ham radio or a telephone depending on how you set it. WERTHEIMER: How is it being used? Is it being used in the same way that folks in the Tahrir Square in Cairo used Twitter? Another big aspect of it is that it works well in places where it's hard to get her to get a Wi-Fi connection. TUCKER: Well, if you talk to Bill Moore and people that are using the app, they'll tell you a couple of different things. WERTHEIMER: So why are we seeing this app adopted by two mass movements in two different parts of the world? PATRICK TUCKER: Thank you so much for having me. He's the technology editor for the online magazine Defense One. We wanted to find out why, so we called on Patrick Tucker. He says over the past two weeks, Zello has been the number one overall app in Venezuela and Ukraine - more popular than any other. WERTHEIMER: That's Zello's CEO, Bill Moore. ![]() And one way to solve it, in fact the way we solve is we just don't, we don't retain information. And one key factor that's making Zello the go-to app among protesters, anonymity, something they don't get from Facebook or Twitter.īILL MOORE: We've had multiple requests from authorities for information. The walkie-talkie-like app allows smartphone users to send short voice messages from person to person or to a small group of people. From Caracas to Kiev, protesters are organizing with the help of a social media tool called Zello.

Watch room on the broom1/3/2024 ![]() No one knows your kid’s interests better than you.Seeing life lessons play out with fun characters can help kids connect with new ideas more easily. “Monsters, Inc.” demonstrates how teamwork can get the job done, and it encourages the audience to give new people a chance. “Room on the Broom” speaks to the power of friendship in the face of adversity. It never hurts to have a fun movie with a great message in your home. Speaking of themes, movies can be a fun way to emphasize lessons you’re trying to teach your children in real life.(It’s also Pixar’s first film starring a female protagonist.) It’s rated PG, and it’s probably best for children ages 8 and up. ![]() It has more complex themes, like promoting independence and standing up for your beliefs. Pixar’s “Brave” runs for an hour and 40 minutes. They both have a runtime of 40 minutes or less, and the stories combine simple themes with novel animation to keep very young children (ages 5 and under) interested. “Room on the Broom” and “The Gruffalo” are both ideal for the youngest viewers. ![]() The length of the film, the complexity of the plot and the movie’s themes all play a role in determining whether it’s appropriate for your child’s age group. You can find a film with a great story and breathtaking animation, but it won’t matter if it’s not age-friendly for your kid.Pixar favorite “Monsters, Inc.” uses digital animation to capture every strand of Sulley’s teal fur. It’s based on the children’s book of the same title, and the animation matches the book’s illustrations to help the story translate to the big screen. “The Gruffalo” uses a combination of Claymation and CGI to bring its story to life. Great visuals add oomph to any kids’ movie. Many kids’ movies are animated, and the best animated flicks are thoughtful about the medium and how it relates to the movie’s story. The movie was even nominated for Best Animated Short Film at the 2014 Academy Awards. “Room on the Broom” is only 30 minutes long, but the story about a generous witch who teams up with her friends to fight a dragon is bewitching. ![]() There are plenty of kids’ movies that are just slapped together, but even young children can tell the difference between a movie with heart and a storyline that falls apart.

Robert wahlberg contraband1/3/2024 Suddenly, Wahlberg is thrust back into his old smuggling gig and agrees to run some counterfeit bills from Panama City to get his bro-in-law out of debt. The movie’s requisite tattoo covered cartoon villain (ridiculously portrayed by Giovanni Ribisi, more on him later) doesn’t take to kindly to his drugs disappearing and gives him a week to pay off a $700,000 debt. Unfortunately, his idiot brother-in-law didn’t give up the family business and ditches a hefty stack of cocaine when his ship is boarded by customs. I had a reasonably good time with it, and I’m confident that anyone looking for a good, solid (not to mention, R-rated) action flick that’s not too jacked up will find plenty to like about it.Wahlberg plays a former smuggling prodigy who has gone legit to raise a family. To be sure, CONTRABAND is not a perfect film, but as far as crime thrillers go, it’s not a bad one at all. I also liked Clinton Shorter’s dynamic musical score, which goes hand-in-hand with Ackroyd’s lensing in giving this a polish that distinguishes the film more than it might have been otherwise. Aiding things enormously is the great shooting courtesy of THE HURT LOCKER’s Barry Ackroyd, giving this a low-key, gritty look that’s one of the more noteworthy aspects of the film. The action scenes are down-to-earth, and reasonably realistic, with only a large scale shootout during a heist in Panama employing any kind of CGI, or editing tricks. Kormakur, who’s directed many films in Iceland, does a great job making this into more of an old-school action thriller than we typically get nowadays. Still, CONTRABAND is a relatively slick thriller. A scarier villain might have prevented the film from feeling too drawn-out, although the way that Wahlberg eventually deals with Ribisi is actually kinda ingenuous. Once Walhberg’s run is over, the film pretty much peters out, with Ribisi not being a particularly imposing villain (not helped by the high-pitched squeal he affects in the role). ![]() At a relatively brick 110 minutes, CONTRABAND feels a little flabby, with it feeling like the film should have focused solely on Wahlberg’s caper, rather than constant asides to his family back in New Orleans, setting up a third-act twist that’s not really needed, and is more distracting than exciting. This leads me to my only major problem with the film. She’s gorgeous (as always), but it’s her section of the film that seems ultimately tacked on, as whenever we cut to her and Foster, we lose the momentum that’s being built watching Wahlberg and his crew at work, as their job goes ridiculously awry. Granted, his role as Farraday is two-dimensional for the most part, but his lower-key intensity during the action scenes serves the film well.Īs his wife, Beckinsale is kinda wasted, as she’s not doing much more here that playing the helpless wife in jeopardy. I’ve always found he suited lower-key action flicks like this one a whole lot better than the large scale flicks he was shoehorned into a couple of years ago (with MAX PAYNE being a particularly bad one). Wahlberg’s a natural playing the rough-around-the-edges hero, trying to leave his criminal past behind. The premise is good, if a little worn, with everyman Wahlberg being pressed back into crime to save his family. It’s actually a remake of an Icelandic film called REYKJAVIK-ROTTERDAM, whose leading actor, Baltasar Kormakur, takes on the directorial reigns for the American remake. ![]() Sure enough, CONTRABAND is indeed better than the typical January release, with it being, for the most part, a very effective crime thriller. It’s a big-budget crime caper, boasting two bonafide movie stars (Wahlberg & Beckinsale) along with a cast of strong up-and-comers, and character actors-including the great J.K Simmons, and the welcome return of Lucas Haas (WITNESS). REVIEW: CONTRABAND is an odd-choice for the so-called January dumping ground. Leaving his wife (Kate Beckinsale) in the hands of his best friend and partner, Sebastian (Ben Foster), Farraday signs up as a crew member on a merchant marine ship bound for Panama, where he hopes to smuggle back enough counterfeit-cash to square things for his family. ![]() PLOT: Former smuggler Chris Farraday (Mark Wahlberg) is pulled back into the biz for one last score, after his ne’er do-well brother-in-law (Caleb Landry Jones) ends up dumping a shipment of drugs, putting him in debt to a local gangster (Giovanni Ribisi). |
